Welcome to Sol Kyst
We design it for yours.
Sol Kyst is size-inclusive eyewear designed to fit and flatter.
Because the problem was never your face. It was your frames.
No. 01Where it began
In 2020, our founder, Meghan Victoria, was sitting on a beach wearing a pair of sunglasses she hated.
They were too small. They didn’t sit properly on her face. And instead of blaming the sunglasses, she found herself doing what so many of us have done: blaming her face.
After years of hearing things like “I have a big face,” “glasses never look good on me,” or “I just can’t pull off sunglasses,” she had a pretty simple realization.
If jeans come in different sizes because bodies come in different sizes… why don’t glasses?
That question became Sol Kyst.
No. 02The makeup artist's eye
Before Sol Kyst, Meghan spent nearly a decade as a professional makeup artist. Her job was to understand faces.
How light and shadow change proportion. How placement creates balance. How bone structure, symmetry and shape can completely change the way something looks.
When she started designing eyewear, she brought that same philosophy with her. Instead of starting with a trend and asking who it might fit, we start with the face. Then we design the frame around it.
No. 03The Fit & Flatter Method
Making a pair of glasses wider isn't enough. Eyewear shouldn't just fit your face. It should flatter it, too.
That philosophy became our Fit & Flatter Method, the design approach behind Sol Kyst. We use the same principles Meghan learned through years of makeup artistry: proportion, balance, harmony, contrast and where a frame sits on the face. Every frame considers:
Eyewear designed for the person wearing it, not an imaginary “average” customer.
No. 04The Kyst Eye
Our first design was the Kyst Eye, an oversized cat-eye created to give wider faces the dramatic, glamorous look Meghan could never find for herself.
When we launched it, more than $10,000 in preorders came through in the first 24 hours. No giant marketing campaign. No huge team. Just a lot of people saying: Finally.
Sol Kyst grew into a six-figure business in its first year, organically, confirming what we had suspected all along: there was never anything wrong with our faces. The eyewear industry simply wasn't designing for enough of them.
No. 05Since 2020
That one pair of sunglasses has grown into a community of more than 15,000 customers across 50+ countries.
We've expanded into sunglasses, optical and prescription eyewear, collaborated with iconic brands including Barbie, appeared on Dragons' Den, and kept developing new ways to make eyewear more inclusive, personal and fun.
But the thing we're most proud of isn't a collaboration or a number. It's the moment someone puts on a pair of Sol Kyst glasses, looks in the mirror and says it.
“Wait. These actually fit me.”
That never gets old.
No. 06Size-inclusive
Faces aren't simply “small” or “big.” They're different.
Different widths. Different proportions. Different bridges. Different features. Different personal styles. That's why Sol Kyst has evolved beyond simply making wider glasses.
We're building a more thoughtful way to shop for eyewear, one where size, shape, proportion, colour and personal style all have a place. Because finding glasses you love shouldn't require squeezing yourself into somebody else's standard.
What's next
Our first five years were about proving that eyewear could fit differently. The next chapter is about making it even more personal.
More sizes. More ways to customize. More prescription options. More colour. More self-expression. And a better understanding of what actually works for your face.
Because we don't believe you should have to change anything about yourself to look good in glasses. We design the glasses around you. Welcome to Sol Kyst.
You've been Kyst. ♡
